The Luckiamute Watershed Council is a volunteer group of
neighbors from diverse perspectives working together to
learn about the watershed and doing what they can to
improve local water quality and habitat conditions.
Our mission is to foster good stewardship of natural resources and develop an
improved understanding of the area’s biological diversity.
We are able to implement projects that protect and enhance
our natural resources through the cooperation and support
of local agencies, schools, landowners, industries and
businesses. The Council is representative of the
stakeholders in the watershed and includes people with a
wealth of knowledge in the areas of aquatic ecology, forest
ecology, hydrology, education, wildlife ecology, natural
resources management, engineering, agriculture, geology and
forestry. We encourage participation from all people who
live or work in the watershed.
