The Luckiamute Watershed Council is a volunteer group of neighbors from diverse perspectives working together to learn about the watershed and doing what they can to improve local water quality and habitat conditions.

Our mission is to foster good stewardship of natural resources and develop an improved understanding of the area’s biological diversity.

We are able to implement projects that protect and enhance our natural resources through the cooperation and support of local agencies, schools, landowners, industries and businesses. The Council is representative of the stakeholders in the watershed and includes people with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of aquatic ecology, forest ecology, hydrology, education, wildlife ecology, natural resources management, engineering, agriculture, geology and forestry. We encourage participation from all people who live or work in the watershed.

Interested in volunteering at LWC? Visit our contact page and tell us what you would like to do.

Do you have a natural area on your property you'd like to enhance? Funding may be available to help, click here for more information. Contact the LWC Projects Coordinator, Michael Cairns, for free advice and assistance.
