The Luckiamute Watershed Council is a volunteer group of neighbors from diverse perspectives working together to learn about the watershed and doing what they can to improve local water quality and habitat conditions.
Our mission is to foster good stewardship of natural resources and develop an improved understanding of the area’s biological diversity.
We work with diverse groups in the community to identify common goals and to work together for a healthy watershed. We work with landowners who want to restore habitat for fish and wildlife on their property. We work with schools to assist in providing students with educational experiences in natural sciences. We want to work with you!
We are able to implement projects that protect and enhance our natural resources through the cooperation and support of local agencies, schools, landowners, industries and businesses. The Council is representative of the stakeholders in the watershed and includes people with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of aquatic ecology, forest ecology, hydrology, education, wildlife ecology, natural resources management, engineering, agriculture, geology and forestry. We encourage participation from all people who live or work in the watershed.
